Francesco Bagnaia will be keen to edge closer to Marc Marquez's
San Marino & Rimini Riviera MotoGP record titles (four) by winning this weekend's race.

The Ducati Lenovo Team rider failed to secure a podium spot at the Catalan MotoGP on 7 September, the most recent event on the 2025 MotoGP calendar.
Bagnaia finished seventh in the race while also finishing 14th in the sprint race and he could not collect a single point from the event.
MotoGP title ambitions
The 28-year-old is still placed third in the 2025 MotoGP Riders' standings, having collected 237 points from 15 races.
Bagnaia is 68 points behind second-placed Alex Marquez of Ducati and 233 points behind the leader, Marc Marquez of Ducati.
Why Bagnaia could win the 2025 San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP
The Italian Grand Prix motorcycle racer knows what it takes to win the San Marino and Rimini Riviera MotoGP, having won the race twice in 2021 and 2022.
Bagnaia, who also won the San Marino and Rimini Riviera Moto2 in 2018, will be targeting his second win of the current season at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli.
What did he say?
“Today’s result was the best possible one: if we consider the 21st place on the grid, it was difficult to imagine that I would have done better than seventh," Bagnaia said after finishing seventh at the 2025 Catalan MotoGP.
"It’s true that, had I had this type of pace already on Friday or Saturday, maybe I would have been quicker today, but this is the situation and we must focus on the next event, knowing that we can do it and working as usual.
"Yesterday we made some adjustments to the bike and I was feeling better in this morning’s warm up, so much so that I ended up fifth quickest. The feeling was better also in the race. Now we need to keep calm and see how the next races will be like.”
